Botswana Savings Bank Employees Scoop customer service awards

Botswana Savings Bank employees took part in the Service Bridging Consulting (SBC) Awards that honoured outstanding consistent service delivery in the service industry. The three employees Lesego Gabanakgosi, Conny Osupile and Jabulani Ngulube were honoured at an event held recently at President Hotel in Gaborone.The aim of the Diamond Service Learning Journey Awards is to encourage excellent customer service within organisations.

Lesego Gabanakgosi scooped the top prizes, Mmampodi Award and the Winner of Winners Zebra Stripes Award enabling him to travel to Tykyo, Japan to participate in the First Diamond Service Learning Experience. The WOW (Winner of Winners) Zebra Stripes Award winner according to Thapelo Nteta from SBC tells the uniqueness of the winner, that as the zebra stripe, he displays leadership traits, is focused on service execution excellence and more importantly is a true cultural fit for his organization.

Gabanakgosi travelled together with other winners to Japan on the 25th November and returned on the 1st December 2018.

The other BSB winners, Conny Osupile from the Francistown Branch won the Ipele Service Pride Award while Jabulani Ngulube from the Main branch won the Mmampodi (Going really above and beyond) Award.

The aim was to expose the winners to a set of diverse, ambitious and fascinating leaders in the service delivery and at the same time give them an opportunity to learn from the best.

"Exceptional customer service delivery is one of BSB's key strategic focus areas. Therefore it is imperative for the bank to continuosly align its efforts with initiatives geared towards improving customer experience," noted the BSB Head of Client Services- Obusitswe Keabaitse.

Japan is known world wide for its hospitable world service standard.By travelling to Japan the winners gained new, actionable ideas for their workplace, a broadened vision, renewed energy, and a fresh sense of contribution they can make to their organizations and to the country.

Excited Gabanakgosi said that the Tokyo Trip was an eye opener as he had an opportunity to meet inspiring people, and be part of a service oriented team, that left him learned and motivated to influence change in Botswana Savings Bank.
