Share Post

On Friday, 21 June 2024, Botswana Savings Bank (BSB) through the staff volunteer Corporate Social Responsibility Programme called I Care, donated winter items & food hampers to four families with special needs in Kgope Village – Kweneng District. The Bank’s helping hand brought the much-needed winter cheer to the families and community. The donations went to the Mokao, Diratsile, Seboko and Iponeng families, blankets, pillows, mattresses, Jojo water Tank and an assortment of food items.

Through the I Care CSR Programme, employees are encouraged to identify worthy community projects to support and participate in charitable activities. This allows greater involvement and cooperation with the Bank’s community, creating value for its critical stakeholders beyond the normal business requirements.

Speaking during the official handover to the Families at Kgope, BSB Head of Marketing and Public Relations, Bomolemo Selaledi noted that, one of the bank’s goals is to identify gaps in the societies in which BSB operates to help where possible. “Inclusive development is critical as the right path towards sustainable development. Therefore, focused initiatives for the welfare of the community with special needs is essential,” expressed Selaledi.
