The Bank requires the services of knowledgeable, highly skilled and self- driven individuals for the following position: DIRECTOR, HUMAN CAPITAL

Responsible for the development and execution of human capital strategies and policies to support the organisation’s mandate and strategy. The Director, HC leads the organisation’s talent management, employee relations, HR operations and HR related organisational development efforts and proactively develops and promotes an enabling working environment for all staff to promote productivity and business efficiency.

The Director, HC is also responsible for the management of the organisation’s premises & buildings, security and administrative services as well as ensuring the cost effective and efficient availability of appropriate office and related space, security and administrative service.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

1. Talent acquisition (particularly at professional, technical and managerial levels)
2. Performance management and employee productivity
3. Employee relations and welfare
4. Organisational adherence to national HR labour laws
5. Voluntary labour turnover (particularly at professional, technical and managerial levels)
6. Quality, maintenance and cleanliness of organisational facilities
7. Safety of personnel, customers and third parties while on organisation premises
8. Security of organisational property and movable assets
9. Availability, accessibility and security of organisational records and data
10. Efficacy of administrative services and document control
11. Management of departmental costs

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related area.
• Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related area would be an added advantage.
• Ten (10) years of relevant experience in a large organisation (preferably a mass-market financial institution) including at least three (3) years of senior management
• Demonstrable hands-on experience operating with the framework of Botswana’s labour laws is essential. A strong understanding of employment practices with Botswana parastatals is an added advantage.
• Demonstrable experience in facilities, records and security management for a large organisation (preferably a mass-market financial institution) will be an added advantage.
